CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility
At Vilmorin Garden, we believe that caring for the natural environment is not only an obligation but also our mission. We approach sustainable development with care, designing our products to minimize their impact on the planet. We support biodiversity, promote eco-friendly cultivation methods, and engage in the environmental education. Our social responsibility also includes solicitude for local communities— from supporting small producers to initiating community projects related to urban gardening.

We value the initiative of our employees. Anyone who identifies opportunities for savings or business improvements gets rewarded. We carefully consider our team’s ideas, as they understand best how to build a competitive advantage.
Area: Ecology
We Are Bio
Our BIO seed line comes from the organic farms that comply with the EU standards. During growth, we avoid chemical plant protection agents and synthetic fertilizers. The seeds come from the varieties that are naturally resistant to the diseases and pests. This ensures that our vegetables are healthy and free from any artificial substances. BIO seeds are a perfect choice for everyone living a healthy lifestyle, for people who wish to grow tasty, wholesome plants without unnecessary chemicals. The production is supervised by the certification entity, Agro Bio Test, and currently, 11% of our Vilmorin Premium products belong to the bio line.
Eco-Friendly Displays
We are implementing a program for selling products on the stands made from wooden pallets, which can be reused and recycled.
Packaging = Recycling
Our packaging is fully recyclable.
Recycling of Industrial and Office Waste
We participate in a waste sorting program. All waste is segregated and sent for further processing.
Area: Social Commitments
For years, we have been engaged in the CSR activities. We encouraged our business partners to support Ewa Błaszczyk’s “Akogo?” foundation and the Budzik Clinic, which help children in comas return to their life. Our efforts were highlighted in the report “Responsible Business in Poland 2016.”
Women’s Congress
Since 2015, we have supported the Women’s Congress, a gathering of Polish women above geographical, political, social, professional, and environmental divisions. Vilmorin Garden is a partner of this event, supporting the initiative of the confident women in today’s world, while advocating for a conscious lifestyle and the passion for amateur gardening of vegetables, herbs, and flowers.
Angelic Gardens
Angelic Gardens is a project for an ecological, educational farm with a large home garden. Together we run the “With Climate and Passion” program where we provided Vilmorin seeds for growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers.
“The Ball is Beautiful” Foundation
We support breast cancer prevention through collaboration with “The Ball is Beautiful” Foundation. On the packaging of the forget-me-not seeds, we included the Pink Life Card, a symbol of the breast cancer campaign.
Development Ladder Foundation
We collaborated in creating the Experience Garden, which is a part of the Multimedia Nature Center in Ostrołęka. Together with our distributors, we organized the collection of the gardening supplies for the sensory garden.
Partner of the Green Poznań Competition
For seven years, Vilmorin Garden has been a partner in the Green Poznań competition. In the XXXI edition of the contest in 2024, 1,666 sites were entered into the contest. The prizes for participants and the funds for organizing the XXXI edition were provided by the President of the City of Poznań and partners, including the Botanical Garden of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the Poznań University of Life Sciences, and the Poznań Heritage Center.
“Akogo?” Foundation and Budzik Clinic
The “Akogo?” Foundation was established in 2002 by Ewa Błaszczyk–Janczarska and Father Wojtek Drozdowicz. Its aim is to help the children after severe brain injuries, often in comas. Between 2016-2018, we conducted a campaign to support the foundation. Posters, leaflets, and stands with Vilmorin Garden products appeared in over 500 stores and garden centers. From each retail sale of the seed packets, 1 grosz was donated to the foundation. This way, we raised approximately 50,000 PLN.
BARKA Foundation
Since 2015, we have been collaborating with the BARKA Foundation, which helps the marginalized individuals. The foundation’s beneficiaries perform tasks related to packing and sorting at its headquarters, and some have even become employees of our company, supporting the logistics department.
Supporting Local Communities
We work with the local organizations that promote ecology and gardening. We support initiatives such as the Kąpielisko Collective, the Łazarz Garden, and the Malta Generator, which create gardening and social spaces.
Area: Health and Safety
Health
To our employees we offer the health insurance through Medicover, which includes a comprehensive package of medical services. We also care about the health of their families by providing the option to purchase medical packages at preferential prices.
Social Support
Each year, we allocate a maximum amount for social support for employees, financing their and their children’s vacations. In case of the unexpected events, we provide immediate financial assistance.
Safety
We operate in a modern, secure office with the warehouse building where we regularly invest in the modern equipment. As a result, we have a low rate of accidents and illnesses.

Our CSR activities have been highlighted in the “Responsible Business in Poland” report. As the only company from the gardening industry included in this publication, our goal is to promote healthy living and well-being in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
